July Saltwater Forecast Overview

With summer break in full swing, fishing opportunities are abundant. Take advantage of your time off and the warm weather by casting a line and experiencing the thrill of fishing. Many charter captains offer trips for beginners and families, but it's still a good idea to book early as spots fill up quickly during the summer months.

The fishing is just as hot as the weather, with Tarpon making their way to the inshore waters of the Panhandle, and the Red Snapper season in full swing. The pelagics have also started their northern migration, offering the chance for inshore, nearshore, and offshore fishing trips.

The Sun Coast continues to be dominated by Red Snapper, with Groupers in abundance in the Gulf, while Tarpon tempt anglers to stay in the shallows. In the Keys, it's time for the Key West Marlin Tournament, with deep sea fishing bringing in Mahi Mahi and Marlin. The Gold Coast around Miami also offers opportunities to catch Tuna, and the warm waters make it the perfect time for spearfishing. In conclusion, there's something for everyone in July!

July Freshwater Forecast Overview

July is a scorching month in Florida, but don't let that fool you, the bass are still biting! Despite the persistent predictions of the unreliable and overpaid weatherman who is wrong most of the time, experienced fishing guides know to stay vigilant and track the weather conditions. They are always on the lookout for their next prey - the largemouth bass or crappie.

Despite the heat, fishing for up to 6 hours can still be a comfortable and productive experience. Artificial lures remain a good option for catching the prized Florida largemouth bass. Two great lakes to try your luck at are Lake Toho and East Lake Toho. Lake Toho is well-known for producing trophy-sized bass, but East Lake Toho has been making a name for itself with its own impressive catches.
