April Saltwater Forecast Overview
As spring arrives, the excitement of peak season can be felt throughout the state. Freshwater fishing takes center stage, with a variety of species preparing to spawn. The upper basin of the St. Johns River provides an ideal location for families to fish for Crappie, while the Harris Chain of Lakes offers an exciting opportunity to catch Largemouth Bass.
Offshore fishing is just as exciting, with the Gulf Stream attracting Amberjack and Marlin. Book a charter from Jacksonville, Cape Canaveral, Miami, or any other location, and prepare for a thrilling battle.
The Keys are known for their exceptional flats fishing, attracting fly anglers to the shallow waters in search of Tarpon, Permit, and Bonefish. Conventional fishing gear also offers plenty of action in these waters. The west coast is known for its inshore fishing, where Redfish reigns supreme, but the reefs also offer plenty of opportunities for anglers.
April Freshwater Forecast Overview
The excitement of schooling bass fishing continues! The early mornings are filled with explosive top water action. Even as the day progresses, you can still expect some lively top water strikes. Spinner baits, rattle traps, and steel shad are all great options for catching bass throughout the day. This season is an ideal time for all anglers to enjoy some fantastic bass fishing. The weather is just right, with comfortable air temperatures and stable water temperatures that make for an excellent fishing experience.
Lake Toho will be bustling with boats as everyone is having a great time catching a plethora of bass. If you're looking for a more relaxed fishing experience, then the shiner bite is always a good choice. Just be prepared to reel in some bass as they won't hesitate to attack the shiners!
