SCHOOL IS IN FOR REDFISH !!!!!!!
With every week the Lagoon continues to warm and the fishing just
keeps getting better.
I am seeing small schools of Redfish numbering from 20 to 50 with some regularity
when conditions
allow and every now and then a large school of 200 to 300 Redfish.
What a sight to
see, 10 yards square of water surface erupting with that many Redfish. If
you can get close
enough to reach ahead of the school it will be an instant hook-up with
almost any lure,
especially the first few times you throw into the school of Redfish.
This past Friday with first time client Mark Lang and his young son
Noah we boated 16
Redfish and 6 Trout , with 2 of the trout measuring 26 1/2 and 27 inches
long . These larger Trout weighed nearly 8 pounds, and Noah caught both of them.
What a great start for a young angler.
This was their first time fishing the flats
and both of them did extremely well after some early coaching and casting instruction. Good
Job!!!!
Two days later on Sunday my clients Brian Ziegler and his Father-in-law Edward boated
18 Redfish and 10 trout. Most of these fish came from single and double
hook-ups
chasing Redfish schools. What a great half day trip!
Well, as I keep saying in these reports the fishing is very good and
should continue to improve as summer approaches and the redfish begin to school even more.
LETS GO FISHING!!!
